The Bill Game Trio

Regularly featured on JazzFM, and having packed out Ronnie Scott’s this year, this trio is popular and has a strong London following.

A personal tribute to the late Bill Evans, this trio evolved from an exercise in transcription (Dorian transcribed the whole of the Album How My Heart Sings, including bass and drum parts). Having memorised many of Bill’s tunes, the trio is more than just a slavish recreation. The rigorous foundation has long ago been leapt from into improvised recreations of a masterful pianist’s work.

In The Bill Game stable are Dorian Ford (piano), Tom Herbert (bass), Mick Hutton (bass), Pat Levett (drums), Tom Skinner (drums).
